An Artist led collaboration of 12 artists. Over the period of two weeks work continually evolved, examining our relations

to creativity and challenging our working styles.

Painting exhibition looking at how different artists approach the medium paint- showed a mirror painting examining the

movement of people within the exhibition space.

Programme and teach the video editing courses at the Gallery.

 

March    2003:                Digital Video Editing Workshops.                         Sheffield Hallam University.

Devised and led workshops for undergraduate Media Studies students.

 

Dec 2002-present:           Exhibition Manager/Co-ordinator.                         [phren-ica] @ 291 Gallery, London.

A bi-monthly event showcasing New Dust digital work and other selected artists.

 

Sep 2002- present:          Studio Administrator (voluntary).                                     S1 Artspace, Sheffield.

Half a day per week towards the running of artist led studio group.

 

Nov 2001-present:           New Dust Co Director and key Artist.

A cross- regional digital art group set up by C.Watling and J.Prevett to expand the possibilities and awareness of digital

art through exhibitions, events and education programmes.

 

May- July 2002:              Workshop Leader.                                              Hobbart High School, Loddon.

Devised and led a programme of digital arts tuition and guidance leading to finished delivery of childrenÕs artwork for

exhibition, completed as part of the Ghosts project for New Dust.

Duties include staff and money management alongside general managerial and organisational duties.

Artistic/ digital advice for interactive/ virtual theatre performance.

Tuition of 10 Vietnamese Children aged 16 for two weeks.

 

Aug- Sep 1998:               Gallery Educator/ Assistant.                               KettleÕs Yard Gallery, Cambridge.

6 weeks work experience teaching young children, leading workshops, installing exhibitions and general gallery duties.

 

Awards

 

September 2003: UNESCO-Aschberg Foreign Residency Award.

An award for a three month residency period at Chiang Mai University, Thailand (dates as yet unconfirmed).

 

January 2003:                Yorkshire Arts Professional Development Scheme.

 

March 2002:                   Awards for All grant as part of New Dust digital art group (EEA).

To fund the Ghosts project, which included a residency period at The Norwich Arts Centre, a programme of artist led

workshops at Hobbart High School, Loddon, Norfolk and the final exhibition at the NAC.
